Cordyceps side effects

Herbal supplements gain inexplicable popularity among people nowadays. No matter what health problem you have, you will always find a number of natural products to get rid of them.  Cordyceps (a fungus that is frequently used in the production of herbal supplements nowadays) has become popular since 1993. This happened when 2 Chinese athletes beat the world track and field records. They underwent a series of tests for steroids usage, which were not found in their blood.   The only supplement they took was this fungus.

At present, this ingredient is used in a number of commercial Cordyceps products. It originated a few decades ago in China. Nowadays, however, it is popular not only in South East Asian countries, but throughout the world as well. It is reported to be an effective anti-tumor supplement, a good antioxidant and an efficient immunostimulative drug. Furthermore, it is supposed to have anti-inflammatory and anti-aging effects.  Men who suffer from impotence report that it is highly effective in increasing potency. In addition, this product is said to lower cholesterol levels in human blood and treat bronchitis, anemia and even kidney disorders.Though this natural supplement has a long usage history (according to some ancient documents, it has been used for several thousands of years), no adverse reactions have been officially documented by this time.  Nonetheless, a number of cordyceps side effects have recently been revealed.  One of the major concerns here is the potential link between lead poisoning and the usage of this supplement. As far as such cases were reported in the past and are not recurrent today, they were explained by the excessive lead contamination in this product. As a result, the problem was not treated like a systematic one. Nonetheless, a lot of patients who are about to take this medication, are still anxious about this danger. Luckily, no death cases have been associated with the consumption of this drug yet.The daily dosage of this medication, which should be consumed along with meals, is around two or three grams. As far as this product may cause a loss of appetite, it is frequently applied by people who wish to get rid of extra kilos. At the same time, some patients claim that they have occasionally experienced gastrointestinal problems (including diarrhea, stomach upsets, nausea etc.), dizziness, the feeling of dry mouth and allergic reactions, such as skin rashes, chest pains, difficulty breathing, itching etc.  As you see, this product is not that harmless as it was previously reported. Keeps that in mind when making your final decision concerning its usage.
